While selecting a baby crib parents should be very generous on spending the money for their children because baby crib is one of the most expensive product, which a parents should buy for their babies. Some times parents may prefer to buy used baby crib or second -hand baby cribs.

Parents may be tempted to buy used baby drib or borrow baby cribs due to cheaper price of the product. It is advised by the Government standard requirements to purchase new baby cribs because these used products may not meet certain requirements to ensure safety and security of your child. The main disadvantage of the used crib may have rough edges, which leads to the insecurity of your baby.

So, parents have to consider about some very important safety issues that surround purchasing a used baby crib. The baby cribs manufacturer’s now days they strictly follow the standards .The used baby crib may not have the standards and unsafe for your baby.

Some of the standard followed by the manufacturers is the side of your crib .The side of the crib should be raised and it should not be less than 26 inches. Baby bed slats should be placed at least at the wider distance of 23/8 inches. The dropper side of the crib must above 9 inches and it should not be less than nine inches. These are some common standards the manufacturers follow today but this is not followed in the older baby cribs.
